Program Overview
Approximate age: 2 to 4 years old
The Young Early Childhood Group focuses on promoting all aspects of development. Children work toward furthering development of their social skills, movement ability, speech, communication skills, and cognitive functions. Sessions are thematically planned with an opportunity for all children to engage in developmentally appropriate play activities. Developing creativity and participation skills are emphasized in this group. The intensive program is scheduled for three sessions per year but will run more frequently if there is interest and a minimum of 3 applications for any given session throughout the year. The Follow-Up Program runs every session, three days a week. If group participation is less than three days a week, the MI resident daily rate is $81.
