Our Family’s Experience with Conductive Education

Our Family’s Experience with Conductive Education

The Conductive Learning Center is amazing! My son, Charlie (age 3½), has spina bifida. He has very limited use of his legs and bowel/bladder problems. Charlie does traditional physical therapy several times per week but my husband and I hoped he could do more. We enrolled Charlie into the Parent & Child/Early Childhood program a year ago. He has attended three sessions, which consist of  3 hours a day, five days a week for four weeks.

The positive changes that have come from just these few sessions at the CLC are very encouraging. His stability and posture have already greatly improved. He is now playing in a sitting position instead of always lying on his stomach. He is well on his way to walking with braces. The CLC helps him reach his full potential because they believe he can accomplish anything. They don’t see his disability, instead they nurture his ability. Besides the innovative philosophy of the center, the staff is second to none. They go out of their way to answer our questions and create an engaging learning environment. I won’t kid you, the days at the CLC are a lot of work but Charlie also has a great deal of fun. He is surrounded by friends with similar challenges and realizes what he can accomplish if he tries. My husband and I can’t wait to see Charlie’s accomplishments as he continues his adventure at the CLC. I highly recommend the CLC to anyone with a child with motor problems.
